I know you like to play the contrarian Swin but trying to support JF over this is really pushing it.

Its a theoretical question I know but would you?

Thing is, we've all probably had a daydream or two of having a good few million spare to invest in GTFC. I bet not one of us in the daydream thought, you know what, I'll loan the club some money. 100% everyone would have been gifting or buying shares.. After the initial 700k, JF has been chasing his own money back..

This is a genuine question but is Fenty a fan? I don’t think I ever saw him at BP or away games before he became involved with the club.

If he is the fan he says he is, and we’ve no reason to doubt that then you’d argue he’s the worst placed person to make decisions because he can’t be objective and pragmatic. Is that the reason he’s been awful perhaps?

Mr Fenty and at least some of his brothers have been following Town away since at least the late 70s. They used to travel on the supporters coaches one of which at the time I was a steward on.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

I am not 'supporting Fenty over this' at all I am merely pointing out that we don't know what 'this' is yet. Whilst the man's very presence at BP is totally abhorrent to me I do not believe that John Fenty would sell the club to him or any of his dodgy syndicate.

Have a go at Fenty and criticise his judgement for even allowing the man anywhere near BP and for apparently having business dealings with him through the company that has been identified but so far that's it. He's been very stupid it appears but it's a long way from selling them our football club

Well, under current Covid restrictions, he shouldn’t be in Blundell Park unless he’s there on business.

Given everything that has emerged over the last 24 hours, the level of concern expressed here is entirely understandable. However, it seems to me that the most immediate questions are for Mr Fenty himself, rather than the club, particularly given the potential political difficulties the revelations may create. That said, if Mr Shutes, or any legitimate bidder remains interested, there's no better time than now to bid.

For felicitations sake if that's his only crime he's unlikely to be recalled to prison to serve the rest of his sentence is he?

Perhaps he's being lined up as the next manager. Who knows? We don't
